Use government land auctions when buying vacant land. Learn how to buy vacant land to save money on the purchase of your building lot!
Government Land auctions are one of the few places you can acquire cheap vacant land, that the majority of the country doesn't think to look.
A common goal we all have is to learn how to buy vacant land and get exactly what we want for the cheapest price possible. Who doesn't want a
deal?
This feeling was established long before our federal government entered the auction business.
When government land for sale became a reality, we (the consumer) have a place to acquire land from a seller who isn't interested in making a
profit!
I will repeat that again: We all can acquire a land deal from a seller (the government) who isn't interested in making a profit!
Now don't get me wrong, the government would like to make a profit but they will sell extremely low if they have to because they are not in the
business of owning residential property.
According to federal computer week magazine, the federal government over the last five years made over 3.6 billion dollars in online sales alone.
The federal government offers land for sale to the public, which has been forfeited or repossessed under laws enforced by government agencies.
These agencies are the U.S. Marsalls Service, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), IRS-Criminal
Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S. Secret Service, The U.S. Department of the Treasury, and The Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, and Firearms.
There are other smaller branches of government that enforce laws but these are the major players who supply the government land auctions.
The government offers a number of items for sale but we will focus on acquiring cheap vacant land. The government conducts some of it's own land
auctions. You can find the Treasury auctions here:

The government also contracts out to several companies to conduct land auctions. These companies are:

- Fidelity is a full service national asset management firm. This is a non-government website containing U.S. Marshals Service forfeited

When shopping for government land for sale online, there's some basic information you need to know about buying vacant land from the government. The government reserves the right to reject any offer to purchase forfeited land.
Your offer can be rejected at any time if you have a relationship to a defendant in a related criminal matter or for other law enforcement
reasons as determined by the various government agencies. Your offer may also be rejected to avoid a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a
conflict of interest because of your relationship to an employee of any federal state or local governmental agency.
This also applies to any contractor, subcontractor or their employees performing services related to the maintenance, custody or sale of forfeited property.
